Penafsiran Al-Qur’an di Era Modern dan Kontemporer

This study aims to analyze the development of Qur’anic exegesis in modern and contemporary contexts. Qur'anic interpretation has undergone significant transformations alongside social, political, and cultural changes in the Islamic world. Employing a qualitative approach with literature review methodology, this research explores various exegetical approaches and methods that have evolved from the 19th century to the present. Data was collected from diverse sources including classical and contemporary tafsir works, journal articles, and relevant books. The findings reveal that modern and contemporary tafsir tend to be more inclusive and contextual, with particular focus on social issues such as gender justice, human rights, and environmental concerns. Furthermore, the emergence of hermeneutical methods and thematic approaches to Qur'anic interpretation has introduced fresh perspectives in understanding the sacred text.
