About the Journal

Makhraja: Journal of Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by PT Insan Nanggroe Cendekia. The journal serves as a platform for original research and critical studies in contemporary Islamic scholarship.

 

Focus and Scope

Makhraja is committed to advancing scholarly discourse in four primary domains:

  • Islamic Philosophy: Systematic studies of classical to modern Islamic philosophical thought and its contemporary developments.

  • Islamic Law: Comprehensive research in usul al-fiqh, qawaid fiqhiyyah, and Islamic legal responses to modern contemporary issues.

  • Qur'anic and Hadith Studies: Critical research in tafsir sciences, Qur'anic hermeneutics, hadith terminology, and sanad-matn analysis.

  • Religion and Conflict: Exploring the dynamics of religion's intersection with contemporary socio-political issues and Islamic-based conflict resolution models.

 

Publication Frequency

The journal is published biannually in June and December.

 

Language

Makhraja accepts manuscripts in three languages: Indonesian, English, and Arabic.

 

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous initial screening by the editorial board, followed by a double-blind peer review process by at least two competent experts in the respective field to ensure academic quality and integrity.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Articles are licensed under a CC BY-SA 4.0.
